Hello there! My name is Madelyn Alexis, a passionate and lively student, artist, creator, and humanitarian. Currently, I am on a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In my service, I spend time doing humanitarian work, working in the temple, and volunteering at an animal shelter. I also sit on a social media council for the "Hands of the Lord" Instagram and Facebook page, as well as volunteering as a community outreach manager and podcast host for the "As the Savior Would" podcast found on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Instagram. Outside of my mission, I am passionate about painting, public speaking, creating meaningful environments, and being the change I want to see in the world. As a student, I am a sophomore at BYU Idaho, and throughout the years, I have been president of many clubs, held leadership positions, been a tutor, a teacher, a specialist, and a friend.
My present studies are in Secondary Art Education, with an emphasis on painting. As a child, I realized that my sole purpose in life was to serve and learn. After exploring business leadership and entrepreneurship, and becoming passionate about psychology and family relationships, I grew curious about how to educate young minds and what paths to take to become a mom in the future. I wanted to study something that would help me obtain the goals I have been working towards my whole life, as well as include my passion for color and for art in general. At the moment, I am considering becoming a high school art educator or a homeschool teacher, and traveling the world to learn more about art history and cultural design practices.
I intend to be a lifelong learner, support a family of my own, serve my community, and share my passion for formal education and creativity with the world. I look forward to teaching children and adults about teamwork, organization, charity, kindness, and service. I intend to explore new ways to provide physical and mental health opportunities for schools, homes, and companies in low-income areas, and for the general public, as I travel and as I paint what I see and feel. Along with being on an 18-month service mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I am also excited to share my experience in building houses, schools, and eventually hospitals through non-profit organizations in which I am already involved.
Through those organizations and my wonderful school programs, I have been able to organize research on thrilling topics, build homes and support systems in 3rd world countries, conduct service projects, become a certified business leader, join clubs that specialize in STEM, Politics, Home Economics, and Community, and attend workshops for physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial well-being. I recently challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone by preparing to compete as a state finalist in my first-ever pageant, focusing on interview skills, public speaking, and networking. Due to my hard work, I was recognized as the National American Miss Champaign, Illinois Teen of 2025, as well as receiving awards and medals in other categories. Learn more about these opportunities in the "Past Clubs and Organizations" page.
Outside of the professional world, I enjoy hanging out with my 3 teenage brothers, traveling, trying new foods, learning random facts, thrifting, and creating art. I strongly believe in the idea of connection, and that connection to clients, coworkers, customers, and friends will create loyal consumers, greater sales and engagement, and esteemed companies.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and view my portfolio. I am looking forward to connecting and collaborating.
